Abstract Stip-HF-meeting 20.09.2017

Stip-HF received the report for hearing: Rapport om fremtidig organisering og kvalitetssikring av forskerutdanningen ved UiB. The main point of the report is that the phd programme is suggested changed from one covering the whole of the university to faculty based phd programmes.

Stip-HF are positive towards such a formal change, and Magnus and Line will write a response covering the views of Stip-HF.

Attempts are made to create an interest organisation for all phds/post-docs and similar positions at UiB, and Stip-HF has been asked to spread the news at our faculty. Information can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/116433559065620/?ref=bookmarks

Uncertainty regarding factors for teaching across faculties. We have received responses from SV, Matnat and psychology department. We need to contact Law, Medicine and Art as well.
Marta will contact faculties, and summon responses in report to be sent back to the faculties for comments and further clarifications.

At Faculty of humanities at NTNU they have scholarships to apply for in order to get back on track after longer sick breaks/maternity leaves (6 months or more). Scholarship covers an extra month of pay. This is a good idea that Stip-HF will look into further.
Line contacts Guro Busterud who has worked with the suggestion in Trondheim to hear how it goes, and further arguments used pro/con the suggestion.

Changes need to be done at Stip-HF. Line retires as secretary due to other obligations, but carries on as ordinary member. Marta is constituted as new secretary.

Dean lunch – Magnus asks Dean about suitable times for sharing lunch with Stip-HF

Survey on supervision (and more) has been delayed. It should be sent out in October.
