Referat frå ekstraordinært møte 22.4 / Summary of the STIP-HF extraordinary meeting 22.04.2015

Stip-HF hadde møte 22.4 for å snakka om korleis det går på runden på institutta og sentra der me snakkar med stipendiatane om deira situasjon. Ikkje alle har fått besøk enno, men så langt har det kome gode innspel til Stip-HF. Her er noko av det som har kome fram til no:

• Det er ikkje alle stipendiatane som får all den informasjonen dei skal ha. Terje og Sara sit i startdagskomiteen og vil ta opp korleis ein får ut den informasjonen som stipendiatar treng ved oppstart på ein ryddig måte. Til dømes: kven jobbar med kva ved fakultetet og institutta/sentra, kor ein finn informasjon om det å skriva reiserekning, innkjøp av bøker.
• Me skal sjå på moglegheitene for å arrangera ein stipendiatkonferanse på tvers av institutt og senter, dersom det er interesse for dette blant stipendiatane.

We evaluated our visits at the different centres and institutes at the Faculty where we talked with several PhD candidates about their situation and special needs or wishes. We haven’t managed to visit all institutes/centres by now. But we already have got some interesting contributions that open up further discussions:

• Not all PhD candidates get all the information they should have. Terje and Sara, who are on the committee for planning the “Startdagen” for new PhD fellows, will take up the issue of how the dissemination of relevant information can be more clear and organized. For example: Who is working with what at the faculty as well as at the institutes/centres? Where to get information about how to register a travel, how to purchase of books etc.
• We will see if there are possibilities to arrange a PhD conference across the different institutes/centres of the faculty, if there is an interest for that among the PhD candidates.
