Fall 2024 Payday Drinks

Stip-HF will once again be holding payday drinks. Dates are not currently confirmed, so keep an eye on your inbox for the upcoming e-mail!

Payday drink events are low threshold events where you can connect with fellow PhDs and celebrate that we are getting paid. You will receive a reminder e-mail before the events with more information.

Shut Up and Writes

Shut Up and Writes are an opportunity to get away from your office (and the people who know they can find you there) to focus on your research. As a group, we work on a task individually for 45 minutes and then take a 15 minute break. This semester, Shut Up and Writes will start on 27 August:

Every Tuesday, 13:00-16:00
Seminar Room 1 (Book Tower, First Floor), Arts and Humanities Library

Topic Day

Stip-HF would like to invite you to a topic day on plagiarism on Thursaday, October 3rd! During this event, we will address questions such as: What is plagiarism? How should we, as PhD candidates, navigate the challenges related to the uncertainty surrounding plagiarism and the use of language models like ChatGPT? What does the legislation say, and how does it affect our daily work?

This event will be held in Norwegian. Attendance is open to both PhD candidates and other employees with an interest in the topic. A free lunch will be provided for all registered participants. The full program for the plagiarism topic day has been published to the Stip-HF blog.

Interested? Registration can be completed via this form. Registration deadline is September 19th.

Writing retreat

Stip-HF will hold a writing retreat this December 4th, 5th, and 6th. This semester, attendees will be spending two nights and three days at a cabin! More details will be released soon.
