What is a writing retreat?

A writing retreat is a set period of time where you put aside all responsibilities of your regular work life and focus only on writing. A writing retreat removes a lot of the really good excuses we place in the path of our writing and creates a container for just that. When participating in the writing retreat, you will work individually on your own text in a group setting structured by a fixed schedule. Furthermore, a writing retreat is an excellent way to connect with new and old colleagues and discover that we’re all in the same boat! We acknowledge that not all PhDs can be away from home in the evening. Therefore, we have decided on hosting this writing seminar close to home, at Høyden.

Topic day on AI

On Monday 6th we will start the day with a session by Jill Walker Rettberg on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in research. Get ready for a session with valuable insights and practical knowledge!

We do ask the participants to commit to the full writing retreat, and if there are any pre-obligations you might have, let us know in advance, so we can prepare ourselves accordingly.

The registration deadline is Wednesday, 17 April. There are limited seats (25 people), and we are going for the first-come, first-served principle.

Hoping to have you join us!
